Radon Home Inspection Radon Level 4 PCi/L, Home Inspection Found. Pittsburgh, Pa.?

Radon level 4 pCi/L, home inspection found. Pittsburgh, pa.? - radon home inspection

Indoor radon level of 4 pCi / L has found an inspection. Pittsburgh, PA. Can a purchase contract for property clean without punishment?

The ratio of radon to-day out of the inspector (the caretaker is). When 4 PCI / L, although they are not too high, but even here there is no "safe" level. The report itself said: "A value of 4.0 or higher recommended in current EPA limits."

The EPA recommends fixing between 2-4. But why should this house, while some other firms may have radon levels from the outset. I fear that I am always concerned about the radon concentrations, rather than the house.

My questions are: 1 Can I clean without penalty (I have deposited $ 4000 in earnest money with my broker), because I found this unacceptable levels of radon?

2.Is reason enough?

3. If the seller is proposing to install a radon mitigation that is required to accept? Use a real estate lawyer, I signed the standard RPurchase EAL used here in Pennsylvania. This cutter offers "I remember, went right to clean?
4. I owe my attorney?

5. How many days have I in relation to this report radon answer?

Thank you for your comments and suggestions.

You can not let you down, if its offer expressly subject to a review with regard to radon, found what he managed. Please add to the contingency, the radon test for their own purposes.

You need to consult with your agent to find out what can and what not cope with these results.

Radon is the poisoning and its height, because, he said, bringing not good for the health or safety problems. As with any home inspection, if there is no problem, you can let your submission. The radon test is part of the home inspection, then see what P & S agreed that the backup time Xan. Tell your agent you your deposit. You donb't your agent of any charge. Of course, the UR agent is not happy. but the buyer does not own a payment when you sign a contract agent apology and bought a home buyer.
